Day 275 - On Tap

Out to dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants - they have the best beer selection!

Day 273 - Memories

My mom sent me a box of various memories from when I was growing up - baby books, school report cards, pictures! These are a few of the pictures from my younger (and much cuter) days!

Day 272 - Let There Be Light

I'm not exactly sure what I was doing today, but I only had one picture - so this is it! We've been working hard on the basement, and this weekend we were putting in the new can lights.

Day 271 - Fancy Faucet

We installed a new faucet in the bathroom. I really love the soft lines in the photo as well as how the light is reflecting.

Day 269 - Stiletto Server

My mom gave me this great cake/pie server for Christmas! It looks like a high heel, but the heel is magnetic so you can remove it to use and wash the server!

My lucky bamboo plant - although its been touch and go keeping it alive!

Exposure: 1/15 sec
Aperture: f/1.4

Day 263 - Guinness Times Two

Today was a heartbreaking day - Ray had to put his Guinness down. G was an awesome black lab who is missed very much. Tonight we drank Guinness in loving memory of Guinness.

Focal Length: 50mm

Day 262 - Mocha Cubes

Three new glass block windows installed today! This is a mocha filter which I think looks pretty interesting!

Exposure: 1/500 sec
Aperture: f/1.4
Focal Length: 50mm
ISO Speed: 800

Day 261 - Teddy

My childhood teddy bear - I've had him for as long as I can remember! He's got a few holes and I've had to push some stuffing back in, but he is well loved! And he never had a name - other than teddy, thankyouverymuch Girl Scout Camp!

Exposure: 1/60 sec
Aperature: f/1.4
Focal Length: 50mm
ISO Speed: 800

Day 260 - Retro Mirror

Sometimes you end up with the most unusual things to photograph when it's late and you just need to find something! This is actually the insert of a set of picture frames that I bought - I loved the old school camera!

Exposure: 1/250 sec
Aperture: f/1.4
Focal Length: 50mm
ISO Speed: 800

Day 258 - Shinny New Bottle

New water bottle! Not much else to say on this one!

Exposure: 1/200 sec
Aperture: f/1.4
Focal Length: 50mm
ISO Speed: 800

Day 256 - Glass and Beads

More of the Christmas themed photos. This is a pic of a "tree" made of small mirrors and beads. This is against the orange wall of my dining room.

Exposure: 1/25 sec
Aperture: f/1.4
Focal Length: 50mm
ISO Speed: 800

Day 253 - Stripes and Bokeh

As I've been doing this project I have found that as the seasons change, so does my focus on objects to photograph. The holidays are clearly upon us! This is one of my favorite ornaments - a group of friends and I used to do an ornament exchange every year and this is one I gave as gifts one year. I always bought myself one of the ones I gave away too! I love the bokeh from the lights on the tree as well!

Exposure: 1/30 sec
Aperture: f/1.4
Focal Length: 50mm
ISO Speed: 800

Day 251 - Wish

A festive photo of my fireplace mantle during the holidays!

Exposure: 1/10 sec

Day 249 - Into the Wild Blue Yonder

I was playing around with my macro lens that I got for Christmas and thought crayons would a fun subject! I just love all the names they give the colors.

Exposure: 1/15 sec
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 50mm
ISO Speed: 1600

Day 245 - Woody

Late night and last minute photo. At least Woody was willing to pose for me! I played around with color saturation (or desaturation as the case my be) on this image.

Exposure: .6 sec
Aperture: f/10
Focal Length: 73mm
ISO Speed: 1600

Day 241 - Rusted Slumber

It's Christmas Eve and believe it or not, I did not get a picture in today! So I'll use one from yesterday. On our ATV tour we stopped at an old mining area and hiked around a bit. Laying there in the gravel was an old mattress spring. It looked pretty cool - so I took a few shots of it! I didn't do any post processing to this shot.

Exposure: 1/1000 sec
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 65mm
ISO Speed: 250

Day 237 - Recombobulation

Come on Julie, that is not a real word... on the contrary it is! Well at least it's being used at Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! This would be the area at the end of the security checkpoint with a table and a handful of chairs where you get to re-dress and re-pack everything you had discombobulated to go through! It just screamed for a picture - albeit a pretty lame one!

Exposure: 1/160 sec
Aperture: f/4.5
Focal Length: 50mm
ISO Speed: 1600

Day 232 - Fridge Frosty

Not a very creative day for a picture but still a little fun. This is a magnet set that you put on the refrigerator (presuming its white) to make a fridge frosty!

Exposure: 1/20 sec
Aperture: f/5.0
Focal Length: 28mm
ISO Speed: 1600
